Create a workspace¶

Create a server-scoped workspace by selecting your current Travian account from the roster.

What you see¶

Choose a Travian Server from the catalog, then search for your Travian Account and select a suggestion. The catalog combines server metadata with registry entries; metadata labels can include server speed. Type at least two characters to search the selected server. The Workspace Name display fills with the selected account's alliance name, with a Last update timestamp when the suggestion supplies one. This form has no text editor for that name. Create Workspace starts disabled while the browser checks for the Trapitan extension.

Who fills in each field¶

You choose the server and account. roster-ingest supplies account identity, alliance and the optional freshness timestamp; the form places the alliance name in the submitted workspace-name field. The backend validates and normalizes that submitted name; it does not independently replace it with a roster name. The saved server remains the workspace boundary.

Freshness and updates¶

Roster results reflect the latest imported roster, rather than a live game query. Changing the server clears the selected account and alliance name. Editing the search text also clears the selection; choose a suggestion again. The visible roster timestamp is formatted by your browser and is hidden when absent.

In Trapitan, select a server, choose your own roster account and review the filled alliance name before creating. The browser requires the Chromium extension handshake and offers Check again when it is missing. The server independently checks that the catalog contains the server, the roster player belongs to it and that the player has an alliance. Successful creation links your Trapitan user to that roster account, creates an active membership and returns to Choose a workspace. Cancel returns there without creating a workspace.

States and edge cases¶

An empty catalog shows No Travian servers available. A search shorter than two characters does not load suggestions. No roster data and no matching name have distinct search messages; a large result set asks you to refine the search. An account without an alliance cannot create a workspace. Missing or invalid selection, an unknown server or invalid name returns field errors. An existing active membership for the same user and server blocks another workspace, even for a different alliance. The server is immutable after creation. Creating a membership does not bypass later account verification.
